“Who are we?”
Fundación Traslatio is a non-profit organization based in Galicia dedicated to the protection, conservation, and promotion of maritime and naval heritage.
Its work focuses on highlighting history linked to the sea, promoting cultural, educational, and social initiatives that connect the past with the present.
Through projects such as maritime routes, exhibitions, events, and educational activities, we aim to bring port and maritime culture closer to the public, fostering knowledge and respect for our maritime heritage.

Visit the Nautilus
Dive into marine biodiversity with free visits to the Nautilus, the new underwater observatory of the port of Vigo.
Located in the A Laxe dock, in front of Portocultura, this space offers a unique experience to observe marine flora and fauna through a floating walkway with cameras recording 24 hours a day.

Our events represent a meeting point between tradition, sport, and maritime culture. From international regattas to port activities, each initiative is designed to bring the maritime world closer to society and strengthen Galicia’s maritime identity.
Vigo has been one of the host cities of the prestigious sailing race Solitaire du Figaro Paprec. This major sporting event consists of a solo sailing regatta divided into several stages held across different locations in Europe.
